Overview:
A list of questions all related to our product, ColonGuard.
Will it cause diarrhea or dependency?
Answer:
ColonGuard is not intended to cause diarrhoea.
Some users may notice temporary changes in bowel movements when starting a digestive-support product, such as slightly softer stools, but severe diarrhoea is not expected and should not be ignored.
ColonGuard is not a stimulant laxative, and when used as directed, it is not known to cause dependency. If loose stools persist, use should be stopped.
2. Does it irritate the colon lining?
Answer:
ColonGuard is formulated to be gentle on the digestive system when used according to instructions.
It does not work by irritating or chemically stimulating the colon lining like harsh laxatives.
However, individuals with sensitive digestion or existing gastrointestinal conditions may respond differently.
If irritation, pain, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
3. If it cleans my colon, what exactly is being removed?
Answer:
ColonGuard does not physically “scrape” or flush the colon.
When we refer to “cleansing,” it generally means:
- Supporting normal bowel regularity
- Helping the body eliminate normal digestive waste more effectively
It does not remove toxins from organs or replace the body’s natural detoxification systems (such as the liver and kidneys).
4. Can long-term use make my bowels lazy?
Answer:
ColonGuard is not designed to override natural bowel function, and it is not a stimulant laxative.
When used as directed, long-term use is not expected to cause bowel dependency. However, prolonged daily use without breaks is not recommended unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Maintaining bowel health also depends on diet, hydration, and lifestyle, not supplements alone.
5. Is there any risk of "dependency" where my body stops producing its own digestive enzymes if I take ColonGuard long-term?
Answer:
No. ColonGuard does not contain digestive enzymes, and it does not suppress or replace your body’s natural enzyme production.
ColonGuard works primarily through dietary fiber (psyllium husk, inulin), probiotics, and plant extracts that support bowel movement, microbiome balance, and stool consistency. These mechanisms do not create physiological dependency or shut down endogenous digestive functions.
Stopping ColonGuard simply returns digestion to your baseline state.
6. You say ColonGuard is a "detox." Which specific, named toxins does it remove from the liver that the liver doesn't already process?
Answer:
ColonGuard does not detoxify the liver or remove named chemical toxins (such as heavy metals, pesticides, or pharmaceuticals).
In this context, “detox” refers specifically to:
· Physical elimination of waste from the colon
· Reduction of stagnant stool and bacterial by-products
· Improved bowel regularity, which reduces prolonged exposure of the gut lining to metabolic waste
ColonGuard supports elimination, not liver detoxification beyond what the liver already does naturally.
7. After taking ColonGuard, I had severe abdominal cramping and liquid diarrhoea. Is this a "healing crisis" or just chemical irritation of my colon?
Answer:
It is not a “healing crisis.”
Severe cramping and liquid diarrhoea are most likely due to:
· Osmotic effects of high fibre intake
· Rapid gut motility changes
· Individual sensitivity to psyllium, inulin, aloe vera, or probiotics
These reactions indicate gastrointestinal irritation or intolerance, not detoxification. If symptoms are severe or persistent, use should be stopped, and a healthcare professional should be consulted.
ColonGuard should not cause severe discomfort when properly tolerated.
8. Does "ColonGuard" cause electrolyte imbalance with daily use?
Answer:
It is a natural digestive aid. However, excessive use of any fibre/detox product can impact hydration; always drink plenty of water.
9. Why does ColonGuard contain Psyllium if it causes bloating?
Answer:
Psyllium is a high-quality fibre used for digestive regularity; when taken with adequate water, it supports a healthy "sweep" of the colon.
